Reopening FAQ’s March 8th 2024

The Coal Exchange Hotel Cardiff will reopen on Friday 8th March 2024 under new management Eden Grove Properties Limited. Please see below for how this affects your booking:
 

If you have a booking for accommodation, Culley’s Kitchen & Bar, an event, or wedding planned before March 8th, 2024, to obtain a refund either:

4If you’ve booked via a third party such as Booking.com, Hotels.com or Expedia to request a refund for your stay you will need to contact the third party directly, this can be done via their online web-chat, email, or telephone.

 

Bookings made via a third party:

Q.   I have made a booking via a third party such as Booking.com, Hotels.com or Expedia and paid in full, What do can I do?

A.   To request a refund for your stay you will need to contact the third party directly, this can be done via their online webchat, email, or telephone. 

Q.   I have made a booking via a third party such as Booking.com, Hotels.com or Expedia to stay after March 8th, 2024, and not paid, what happens next?

A.   If you haven’t paid for your booking, your booking is still confirmed. If you wish to cancel your booking, you can via the third-party site or by contacting them directly. 

Direct bookings:

Q. I have booked to stay after March 8th 2024, directly via social media, email, phone, or website, but only paid 25%, what do I do?

A. Your booking is still confirmed and will go ahead on your chosen date, however, your 25% payment has been paid The Coal Exchange Operations LLP, to obtain a refund please see the above steps. 

 

Weddings:

Q. I have my wedding booked at The Coal Exchange and only paid a deposit. What does this mean for me?

A. Weddings booked on or after March 8th, 2024, are still confirmed to go ahead as planned at The Coal Exchange Cardiff, however, to obtain your deposit back from The Coal Exchange Operations LLP. please see the above steps.

Events, Meetings and Conferences: 

Q. I have an event booked at The Coal Exchange and only paid a deposit. What does this mean for me?

A. Events, meeting, and conferences booked on or after March 8th, 2024, are still confirmed to go ahead as planned at The Coal Exchange Cardiff, however, to obtain your deposit back from The Coal Exchange Operations LLP. please see the above steps.

Culley’s Kitchen and Bar:

Q. I have made a booking to dine in Culley’s Kitchen & Bar OR booked the private dining room but only had a card authentication, what do I do now?

A. The card authentication doesn’t take any funds from your account. Your booking is still confirmed to go ahead as planned. 

Q. I have booked to dine in Culley’s Kitchen & Bar OR booked the private dining room and paid a deposit or in full, what do I do now?

A. If you’re booking is on or after March 8th, 2024, your booking is still confirmed. However, to obtain a refund, please see the above steps.
